Being environmentally friendly in the lab, where sterility and convenience are of utmost importance, can be difficult. However, we can all make small changes. To help move toward the goal of a greener lab, we installed an eco-friendly wastewater facility and recycle and compost as much as possible.
For laboratory work we’ve started the blog “Labconscious” by gathering tipps and information on how to work sustainably in your lab from the scientific community all over the world.
With sustainability in mind, we designed our Monarch Nucleic Acid Purification Kits which contain less plastic for columns and bottles and resource-friendly packaging.

Raise butterflies until it’s time to release them!
Share an image of your wildflowers grown with our Seedballs with us. You can email us, use our contact form, post an image on the NEB facebook page or on Instagram. On Instagram, please use the hashtag #NEButterflygarden and tag the NEB Instagram account (@nebiolabs).
Experience the growth of the caterpillars and their pupation until you can release them.

Conditions of participation for the NEB Seedballs contest and draw of the butterfly raising kits (only valid in Germany and Austria).
The NEB Seedballs competition and the prize draw (butterfly raising kits) is open to NEB customers in Germany and Austria.
To enter the raffle, please send us an e-mail with a photo of your outgrowing seedballs until July 15 2019, or submit the photo via the contact form on our website. You can also post the photo on the NEB Facebook page or post it on Instagram using the hashtag #NEButterflygarden while tagging NEBs Instagram account (@nebiolabs) in your post.
The 20 butterfly raising kits will be raffled among all entrants. All winners will be notified shortly after the raffle and may be announced on the website or through other channels.
Participation in the competition is not possible for NEB customers who are generally prohibited from participating in such activities by regulations within their own organization, company, or university.
Legal recourse is excluded. There is no entitlement to a profit. The prices cannot be changed. There is no guarantee claim/warranty for the prize.
