To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company, New England Biolabs GmbH (NEB) is organizing a competition with 445 instant prizes. Participation in these competitions/raffles is subject to the following general conditions of participation.
1. Competition and Organizer
The organizer of the prize draw is New England Biolabs GmbH, Brueningstraße 50, 65926 Frankfurt am Main, Germany (hereinafter “Organizer”).
2. Participation
a) NEB customers as well as researchers and students who are active in the field of molecular biosciences and within the EU, Switzerland or Norway and who are in possession of a lottery ticket are eligible to participate. Excluded from participation are persons under the age of 18, employees of the organizer, their direct relatives and service providers or distribution partners commissioned to organize the competition as well as persons who are generally prohibited by law, regulations, contracts, guidelines or employment relationships from participating in competitions of this kind.
b) Participation is free of charge and does not require the purchase of goods or services.
c) Participation is subject to the conditions described in more detail here. Incorrect information or incomplete entries will not be considered. The organizer cannot be held responsible for late or incomplete entries.
d) By participating in the NEB competition, the participant confirms that the participant agrees that the organizer may store the data in accordance with the GDPR and use it for regular information mailings by letter and e-mail. You can object to the use of this data at any time free of charge.
3. Implementation and Processing
a) The competition begins on 01.04.2024 and ends at the end of 30.06.2024.
b) Participants must be in possession of a ticket. Each ticket has a code that must be entered on the competition website (www.neb-online.eu/en/neb-golden-butterfly/). Each code can only be redeemed once.
c) Participants will be informed directly on the website whether they have won an instant prize (approximate value of the prize < €35).
d) Entitlement to the prize shall lapse if the prize cannot be sent for reasons for which the winner is responsible (e.g. due to incorrect or inaccurate contact details).
e) The claim to the prize cannot be assigned and is not transferable; furthermore, the prize cannot be paid out or supplemented.
f) Please note that for fulfillment and marketing purposes your data may be passed on to the official NEB distribution partner responsible for your respective country.
4. Exclusion from Participation
a) In the event of a breach of these conditions of participation, the organizer reserves the right to exclude participants from the competition.
b) Furthermore, the organizer reserves the right to exclude participants who use unauthorized aids or otherwise gain advantages through manipulation. This is the case, for example, if automatic scripts, hacker tools, Trojans or viruses are used, or if a participant gains an advantage by other unauthorized means. In such cases, winnings may also be subsequently disallowed and/or reclaimed.
5. Data protection
The organizer collects and uses the personal data of participants only to the extent permitted by law. For details on the type and scope of data processing, please refer to our privacy policy at www.neb-online.de/en/privacy-policy/.
The responsible body or controller within the meaning of the BDSG and the GDPR is the organizer of the competition: New England Biolabs GmbH, Brueningstrasse 50, 65926 Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
6. Final Provisions
a) Legal recourse is excluded.
b) Should any of these provisions be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
